Katherine Zarate Dulany, Esq. AWI-CH is an experienced and responsive San Francisco Bay Area employment lawyer and attorney workplace investigator.
Katherine offers practical employment advice, counseling, and training to businesses seeking to minimize litigation exposure and comply with California employment laws.
Katherine also conducts neutral workplace investigations in response to complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace misconduct or violations. In addition to having practiced many years of employment law, Katherine has received intensive training through the Association of Workplace Investigators. She combines such experience and training with her ability to connect with diverse backgrounds and establish trust and credibility while conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
Katherine has had over 20 years of experience and has worked with top rated law firms – Thelen, Reid, and Priest LLP and Coblentz, Patch, Duffy, and Bass LLP. She has successfully litigated cases through trial and has also positively resolved many disputes without litigation.
Katherine obtained her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from The University of California Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and her Bachelor of Science, with the highest honors, from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Katherine is also an Association of Workplace Investigators (“AWI”) Certificate Holder, a distinction earned following an intensive training program provided by the AWI.
Katherine is dedicated to serving the community. She is an enthusiastic volunteer for her parish and children’s schools. For over 8 years, she served as an elected school board member for the Jefferson Union High School District. She is a former President and current Advisory Board Member of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California (FBANC). She served on the California State Bar’s Ethnic Minority Relations Committee.
Katherine lives in Daly City with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys running, competing in triathlons, and spending time with her family.
